Kia Corporation recorded total global sales of 252,825 units in November 2022, a 15 percent increase year-on-year.

The brand’s SUV line-up led global sales during November, with the Sportage and the Seltos achieving the highest sales numbers. The Sportage recorded global sales of 39,335 units, followed by the Seltos with 27,947 units. The Sorento SUV followed, recording 19,949 units in November.

EV6, world-renowned full electric vehicle, is showcasing Kia’s competitiveness in the global EV market through its robust sales. Year to date sales figure for EV6 is 73,167 units, more than triple the annual EV6 sales figure for 2021.

Sales outside of Korea

Outside of Korea, Kia posted sales of 200,625 units, up 15.4 percent year-on-year. The Sportage and the Seltos SUVs continued to lead Kia’s overseas sales momentum with 33,573 and 24,498 units, respectively. Key markets including US, Europe, Asia-Pacific, India, and Central and South America regions all recorded robust results for November.

Korea sales

Kia recorded sales of 52,200 units in Korea, up 13.4 percent year-on-year. Also in the domestic market, the Sorento recorded sales of 6,656 units to lead the brand’s passenger vehicle sales. The second highest selling SUV was the Sportage SUV, which achieved 5,762 units.

Business outlook

Going forward, in response to the market's current challenges, Kia will continue to adjust its production in line with inventory status and to minimize production disruption. Building on competitive new models such as the all-electric EV6 - named the 2022 European Car of the Year in February - Kia will create positive sales momentum to increase market share and enhance profitability, while continuing to rapidly transition to a sustainable mobility solutions provider.
