Kia Motors Corporation announced today its global sales figures (export sales, domestic sales and sales from overseas plants) for passenger cars, recreational vehicles (RVs) and commercial vehicles for September 2014, recording a total of 244,547 units sold. This figure represents a 4.8% year-on-year increase.

In September, Kia posted year-on-year sales increases in China, Korea and North America of 27.3% (60,908 units sold), 20.2% (38,605 units sold) and 3.5% (46,411 units sold), respectively.

Cumulatively, through the first nine months of 2014, Kia's global sales have increased by 3.9% year-on-year, reaching 2,155,516 units. China, North America and General Markets* have experienced cumulative gains to date in 2014 of 14.8% (485,210 units sold), 5.5% (501,202 units sold) and 0.1% (391,978 units sold), respectively.
