Kia Announces June 2025 Global Sales Results
- June 2025 global sales of 269,652 units, up 0.2% Y/y
- Outside of Korea, Kia sold 222,997 units, down 0.8% Y/y
- Kia RVs led the company’s sales, including EV3, Sportage and Seltos models
- Kia recorded its highest-ever first half sales from January to June
Kia Corporation today announced total global sales of 269,652 units in June 2025, a 0.2 percent increase year over year.
Strong sales were driven by new model launches such as the EV3 full-electric SUV – crowned World Car of the Year at the 2025 World Car Awards – along with the EV4 full-electric sedan and Tasman pickup truck, while core RV lineup like the Sportage and Seltos SUV sustained robust demand.
Kia RVs led the company’s sales in June, with the Sportage SUV selling 47,492 units globally. The Seltos SUV backed up this strong market performance with sales of 27,665 units, followed by the Sorento SUV, which sold 19,758 units.
Sales outside of Korea
Sales outside of Korea, excluding special purpose vehicles, were down 0.8 percent compared with the same period in 2024, to 222,997 units.
In markets outside of Korea, the Sportage SUV led the brand’s momentum, recording 41,129 sales, followed by the Seltos SUV with 22,565 units. Combined sales of the K4 and K3, also known as Forte in some markets, totaled 18,342 units.

In June, Kia sold 46,003 units in the Korean market, a 4.5 percent increase compared with the same period last year.
The Sorento SUV led the company’s passenger vehicle sales in its home market, with 7,923 units sold in June. The Carnival MPV followed, with sales of 6,714, while the Sportage SUV recorded sales of 6,363 units.
Kia achieved its highest-ever first-half sales performance since it began automobile sales in 1962. From January to June this year, Kia sold a total of 1,587,161 units, marking a two percent increase compared to the first half of 2024.
The Sportage SUV led global sales in the first half of 2025 with 283,512 units sold, followed by the Seltos SUV with 151,049 units and the Sorento SUV with 137,461 units.
Kia aims to sustain its sales momentum with the launch of new models, including PV5 and EV5. The company will drive growth and reinforce its global electrification leadership through its customer-focused strategies and strategic investments.
